Is it possible that the org is keeping reasoning and creation books for now because they realise deleting them may raise some eyebrows even amongst die hard dubs?

These two publications are like many others...in limbo...a state of uncertainty! In the JW's website under Books And Brochures For Studying The Bible...of the 116 books and brochures listed...these 2 books are incognito. Similar to the Revelation Climax book...these two books must not even be reliable enough for Bible students to use as reference material. These WT books must be that bad!

Maybe a little off topic but I picked this gem of a quote from from the September 2002 Kingdom Ministry...pay particular attention to the last sarcastic and belittling statement WT makes about using the internet to spread the Word:

"God’s Appointed Channel: Bear in mind that our heavenly Father has an appointed channel of communication, “the faithful and discreet slave.” That “slave” has the responsibility to determine what information is made available to the household of faith, as well as “the proper time” for it to be dispensed. This spiritual food is available only through the theocratic organization. We should always look to God’s appointed channel for reliable information, not to a network of Internet users."

If WT & their various websites aren't a network of internet users...then...!

The latest version (2006) is out of circulation. It's just a matter of time before it'll show up on the next go-around of discards. I visited JW online
under 'Books & Brochures For Bible Study'...there are 116 items listed...absent is the notorious big red...Revelation Climax! The inevitable is around corner for this book...it may have been decided by top brass that it would be too much of a shock to the rank & file after studying it four different times in the Book Study to discard it altogether...its day is coming...if memory serves me right, it's been nearly 12 years since it was last studied!

Hundreds of thousands of books were destroyed back in the 80's.

I think we're underestimating that number a bit. When one takes into account that there are roughly 120,000 congregations worldwide & this directive to destroy literature is being given to each & every congregation that has unplaced stock inventory...if each congregation conservatively discards/trashes just 25 books ...that alone amounts to 3,000,000 individual books...not to mention tracts, brochures, video cassettes & the like.

That is one hell of a lot of 'Truth' going down the toilet...so to speak...seriously! :) :) :)

Yes, Petra ...I remember one such big thick blue book...'Aid To Bible Understanding'...an ole favorite of mine!

WT must of had tens of thousands of them in stock. Then one day our friend Raymond Franz gets canned by a WT kangaroo court. After Ray's dfing...everything that he had authored or co-authored ended up in the shredder...there had to be hundreds of thousands of different pieces of literature that got trashed.
